The Freiberg Leather Days have been the meeting place for the European tanning and leather industry since 2012. Every two years in Freiberg and in the other year abroad, the VGCT and the FILK Freiberg as co-organisers invite experts, researchers and specialists to exchange ideas and actively participate in shaping the technical content. This year, the 13th Freiberg Leather Days will return to their birthplace of Freiberg on 21 and 22 May 2025.

The 13th Freiberg Leather Days on 21 and 22 May 2025 will take place as a presence-only event in Freiberg / Germany. The VGCT and FILK Freiberg as co-organiser are looking forward to seeing you again. Freiberg is a city of short distances. Enjoy the flair of the medieval old town as you walk from the hotel to the conference location "Tivoli". Founded around 1162 as Christiansdorf, it grew into a prosperous medieval town with a castle and mint following the discovery of silver ore in 1168 and is now home to around 41,000 people. The Freiberg University of Mining and Technology is one of the world's oldest mining technology universities and has seen many famous students and professors, such as Humboldt, Mohs and Werner, since it was founded in 1765.
